The Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron is not merely a luxurious retreat but also an opportunity to journey through time and revel in the extravagance of past centuries.

The credit for creating this spectacular palace goes to Leopold Anton Freiherr von Firmian, a former prince-archbishop of Salzburg. The castle was constructed in 1736 as an exclusive residence for his family, and its location affords stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountain range and verdant landscapes. It quickly became a preferred destination for high-profile gatherings, and its ownership has changed hands several times over the centuries.

Among the prominent owners of the castle was the Bavarian King Ludwig I, followed by the well-known banker Carl Spängler, who, with the assistance of two servers, transformed the old castle into a hotel in the late 19th century.
