Lanesboro museum is a great place to visit in the beautiful town of Lanesboro, Minnesota. It’s an excellent place to learn about the city of Lanesboro’s fascinating history. The museum has an extensive collection of Lanesboro and its resident’s well-preserved historical photographs and incredible genealogical artifacts.

The Lanesboro museum is a gallery for all ages. Kids can enjoy scavenger hunts, and adults to discover various displays. It has three floors house collections of organized displays of Lanesboro artifacts from World War I and old photography displays.

Lanesboro museum also has an array of other artifacts on the Root River Trail, such as the town’s history and genealogy. Some of the great displays in the museum are the Lanesboro railroad impact, 1930s photography, the dam and landforms model in 1868, and a turbine model from the 1930s.

The Sylvan Park & Riverview Campgrounds is a first-come, first-served base campground that is encircled by the enchanting scenery of the beautiful Root River and Bike Trail. Bathrooms, bathhouses, electric, water hookups, and dumping stations are facilities that campers can access within the campgrounds.

Sylvan Campground has 27 campsites, while the Riverview has over 16 grounds where campers can set their tents and enjoy a wonderful camping experience.

Aside from using tents in these two fascinating places camping with an RV or Camper vehicle are also welcome to find a perfect spot and admire the scenic beauty of Lanesboro.
